Biography

• Retired medical informaticist. Developed applications in research data management and warehousing, search engines, knowledge-based expert systems, social networking, medical/public health education, and drug prescribing QA. Also worked in primate sociobiology, exercise and sleep monitoring, temporal logic, time-based database viewers, and automated hypothesis discovery. Board member, Colorado Institute for Artificial Intelligence. Threads of all this at ResearchGate.

  In other words, I was sort of a scientific Swiss Army Knife.

  Currently writing for general readership about mind sciences, consciousness, the self, identity, AI futures. Monkey-like, I will pick at any nit that might suggest a way out of our messes. Current work at Substack:Sentient Artifact, Medium, and Hacker Noon.
