George Horne

Biography

I'm George and I work within performance and wellbeing psychology. I have recently graduated from Loughborough University's MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology course, and I am now training to be a fully qualified sport and exercise psychologist as part of the BASES SEPAR pathway. As part of this training, I am currently working for Verdant Esports Club, one of the UK's top esports teams, and vehemently reading and writing as many psychology articles as my schedule allows. I work within the acceptance and mindfulness paradigm of performance and wellbeing psychology and have recently written a theory paper below on how that can be fully integrated within a holistic model of practice.

I got diagnosed with ADHD as an adult two years ago, and since my research has adopted this new direction. Now, on top of mindfulness and acceptance research and interventions, I am very interested in reading and writing about anything related to attention, self-regulation, and goal-directed behaviour, and how contextual changes may influence them.
